7. Check the State Department website
Terrorism has made some countries to be unsafe to travel to, and you need to check with your state department on any travel advisories issued against a country. Also, check with the CDC if there is an outbreak of a disease in a country. You also need to take this information with a pinch of salt because some countries can be unsafe to travel but it is only sections of it. If you are traveling to Brazil get your Brazil e visa before leaving your country.
