2. Do not carry all your belongings
It can be tempting to put all your credit cards, money and IDs in your wallet or backpack and carry them around when traveling. However, this can risky should the said wallet or backpack get stolen. When leaving your hotel room, leave some cash in a safe while carrying the rest. If you do not need to, do not withdraw a lot of money from your ATM. Use credit cards and mobile payments where necessary. Tourist tends to be the target of pickpockets because they assume they carry a lot of cash with them.
