You see, depending on the tides and the winds, the beach will actually change its shape as its tip twists from side to side. Quite a magical place, and if you’re ever near Brac Island, you simply must come here.
Sakarun, Dugi Otok
If you Google Sakarun and take a look at the images, you will probably think that the beach is located on some tropical island. Stiniva is well hidden from prying eyes by awe-inspiring cliffs, but when you finally discover it, you will realize that this is what you’ve been looking for all your life. A small beach, a slice of heaven where you can relax and just let nature wash over you completely, is what the Mediterranean is all about. And if you have a boat nearby, you can hop over to the islet of Budikovac, a deserted little island with more amazing swimming spots.
Šunj Beach, Lopud
Further down south, lies the island of Lopud. There, you will find a sandy paradise called Šunj. A dense pine forest surrounds the place, giving visitors plenty of shade and gifting them with that characteristic pine scent. But on top of all those natural advantages, the beach offers plenty of facilities, so you can grab a drink or a bite at the local bar or even access an ATM if you need cash. A great place to spend a whole day, especially if you have the whole family along.
Punta Rata, Brela
South of the city of Split, this place is ideal for a scenic drive along the Dalmatian coast. If you are flying to Dalmatia, rent a car at the Split airport and Punta Rata in Brela. It is a small but beautiful beach surrounded by loads of greenery. As a matter of fact, there are trees sprouting from a huge rock on the beach, too!
You will be fairly secluded here because the trees shield you in a way from the rest of the world, but there are many facilities you can use too, including showers and sunbeds. So, come here early, grab your spot and spend a wonderful day at the beach.
